Alexis Ward

Alexis Ward is a creative and collaborative multimedia communication strategist with experience spanning higher education, digital media, and outreach. Bringing a dual skill set in web development and multimedia storytelling, she currently serves as a Multimedia Communications & Outreach Specialist at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, supporting the departments of African Cultural Studies and Classical & Ancient Near Eastern Studies. In this role, she leads cross-platform content strategy and design, including web, social media, email, graphic design, photography, video, and written storytelling. Her work supports a range of institutional priorities, including visibility for academic research, student engagement, advancement-focused communications, and community connection.

She holds a B.A. in Multimedia Journalism from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, with a minor in Law & Policy and a certificate in Spanish. Her background in student journalism and editing shaped her foundation in narrative craft, editorial clarity, and audience engagement. Across her work, Alexis is focused on helping organizations translate ideas into meaningful multimedia content that connects diverse audiences to information, stories, and communities.
