Alex Houseman received his BA in Latin and History from Western Michigan University in 2021, a Classics Post Baccalaureate certificate from the University of California Los Angeles in 2022, and his MA in Classics from the University of Maryland College Park in the Spring of 2024. Alex’s main scholarly interests more broadly rest in Imperial Greek and Latin literature and encompass everything from the Greek Novels to the philosophy and theater of Seneca the Younger. However, Alex’s current research revolves around exploring the relationship between Seneca’s tragic and philosophical works primarily with regard to how the self is constructed and defined.
