As part of an initiative by the Karpat Center’s Karpat Graduate Student Society, the Kemal H. Karpat Center for Turkish Studies at the Department of History has organized the Karpat Talks Series. This initiative, launched in the Fall of 2024 and continued with enthusiastic participation, provides a platform for early-career researchers to present their ongoing research in a scholarly and friendly environment.

The first talk of Spring 2025, one of six in the series, will take place on February 7 at 1:00 pm with a presentation by CANES doctoral student Hakan Özlen, titled “From Plotinus to Rumi: Neoplatonism in Anatolian Sufi Thought.”
