If the student fails an exam, they can re-take the exam, two times for a total of three times, and each subsequent offering of the exam will feature a combination of course and supplementary materials from the previous exam(s). These subsequent attempts will be written and evaluated by the examiners of the previous exam(s), or their nearest equivalent in expertise. For all material on which a student is being re-examined, the presentation of the material should be no more than 50% the same as the presentation of the first exam. If a student does not pass an exam after three attempts, their case will be referred to the whole faculty for discussion and recommendations for next steps, in the earliest faculty meeting following the third and final attempt.
