Jeffrey Beneker, professor in the Department of Classical and Ancient Near Eastern Studies, was recently featured in a Badger Talks episode exploring how to become a better listener.
As part of the Hot Off The Press: It’s Human Nature series, Beneker shares insights from ancient Greek and Roman thinkers on the art of listening and learning from others. Drawing on his book, How to Listen: An Ancient Guide to Learning from Others, he explores how wisdom from more than 2,000 years ago remains relevant today.
The episode was produced in partnership with the Wisconsin Book Festival.
