An intensive introduction to the grammar and vocabulary of Classical (Biblical) Hebrew, the language of the Hebrew Bible and Ancient Israel. Complete the equivalent of HEBR-BIB 103 & 104 in a single semester. Gain skills in preparation for reading the Hebrew Bible in the original. Focus is on translation of Hebrew text (written grammar and lexicon). Also touches on aspects of ancient Israelite culture, history, and literature (as time allows).
