Tye Wilson-Swokowski, a Classics and Latin major, is a member of UW’s Ethics Bowl team and will be competing in the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl (IEB) championship taking place March 3-4 in Chicago. To earn a spot in the twenty-second annual national competition, the UW club went undefeated throughout the November regionals. The team finished among the top thirty-six clubs across the nation.
Wilson-Swokowski explains that the competition is, “sort of like debate, but with the topics focused on contemporary ethical issues and the debate tactics being housed in a battle of ethical principles.”
The IEB is held in conjunction with the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics annual meeting.
Best of luck!
