Students Earn Honors

The following graduate students earned honors, mainly for summer study and dissertation completion:

Preston AtwoodGeorge Mosse Exchange Program fellowship for two years of dissertation research and writing: the first year at the UW-Madison and the second at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel.

Robert and Beverly Natelson Family Scholarship in Jewish Studies awarded through the Mosse/Weinstein Center for Jewish Studies.

Cate BoneshoRome Prize & Mellon-Wisconsin Summer Fellowship which supports dissertators in the College of Letters and Science conducting research in the humanities or humanistic social sciences.

Ned GreeneMellon-Wisconsin Summer Fellowship which supports dissertators in the College of Letters and Science conducting research in the humanities or humanistic social sciences.

Hikaru KumonGeorge Mosse Exchange Program fellowship for two years of dissertation research and writing.

Mary Claire LaVelleFrank R. Kramer Summer Fellowship which enables graduate students in their second year of study or above to receive support for research connected to the advancement of their studies in Classics.  Mellon Foundation Area and International Studies Fellowship which supports field research or the development of language or cultural competence.  Both will be used for study at Italiaidea Institute in Rome, Italy this summer.

Samson OlanrewajuIda and Isaac Lipton Study Abroad Award through the Mosse/Weinstein Center for Jewish Studies, to be used for a Greek/Hebrew translation course taken in Canada this summer.
